This large-scale public sculpture is conceived as an open book embedded within the urban plaza. A central pathway formed by human footprints traces the passage of time, beginning with the steps of a 106-year-old elder and gradually transitioning to those of a three- to four-year-old child.
The footprints extend from near to far, guiding the viewer toward the horizon and emphasizing continuity across generations. At the end of the path stands a cast bronze sculptural group: two children building a sand structure together. The boy raises his left hand and points into the distance, suggesting the direction of the future.
Rather than presenting history as a fixed monument, the work frames the city as an ongoing human process—shaped by memory, inheritance, and forward movement.
