Located in the outdoor courtyard of Dalian Library, The Revelation of Words was completed in 2000 and cast in zinc alloy.
The sculpture takes the form of a tilted geometric block inspired by ancient Chinese movable-type printing. Its surfaces are composed of raised character blocks, recessed openings, and layered textual structures, transforming the flat printing plate into a three-dimensional sculptural form.
The Chinese inscriptions are selected from The Book of Songs, the earliest collection of Chinese poetry, while English translations appear on the adjoining surfaces. The contrast between raised characters and deep recesses creates a dense visual and tactile rhythm.
By placing the block in a state of apparent imbalance, the work breaks away from the stability traditionally associated with monumental sculpture. Classical texts are presented not as static historical remains, but as an active structure continuously entering contemporary space.
Within the setting of a library, the sculpture establishes a dialogue between written language, cultural memory, and the act of reading.
《文字的启示》创作于2000年，坐落于大连图书馆户外庭院，整体采用锌合金铸造。
作品以倾斜的几何方体为基本造型，创作灵感来自中国古代活字印刷。方体表面由凸起字块、凹陷孔洞与层叠文字结构构成，将平面的活字印版转化为具有体量感和空间感的雕塑形态。
雕塑上的中文内容选自我国最早的诗歌总集《诗经》，相邻立面设置对应英文译文。凸起文字与深陷空间相互交错，形成密集而清晰的视觉与触觉节奏。
方体近似失衡的倾斜姿态，打破了传统纪念性雕塑稳定、端正的形式。古典文字在这里不再是静止的历史遗存，而成为持续进入当代空间的活动结构。
作品置于图书馆这一阅读场域之中，建立起文字、文化记忆与现代阅读者之间的对话。
