The sleeves are ingeniously stretched into gossamer-thin curved lines with exquisitely smooth edges, as if they would shatter at the slightest touch. When hit by varying light, the gilded layers shift to present a misty, cloud-like texture—sometimes dense as billowing cloud masses, other times faint as wispy haze. This stationary sculpture conjures the wondrous illusion of flowing clouds brushing against one’s face; the sleeves seem to flutter gently in the direction of the wind, as if the soft cloud drifts from the horizon have been artfully tailored into such one-of-a-kind finery, leaving viewers to marvel at the artisan’s unparalleled mastery of crafting ethereal garments.
